WTF?? What is the calculation that makes it a 600 percent reduction???
While of course I would not endorse this calculation, I could understand describing a reduction from 700 to 100 as a 600% reduction, as the reduction is 600% of the new price.
I am confused why this isn’t a 6000% reduction in Trump math.
Any change in Trump math (ability/understanding) cannot be expressed as a % if the starting point is 0.
Easy. It’s because 6000% sounds too ridiculous, even for the mathematically inept. But 600% doesn’t sound ridiculous to the mathematically inept. Therefore, 600%.

Huh. I was seriously thinking this and then had to consider why I think that is right. I think it is because thousand, million, billion, trillion, … all sound like arbitrarily big numbers to people that don’t understand numbers. The order of magnitude is already beyond comprehension, essentially. But hundred doesn’t quite sound that big.

Trump usually just inverts the relationship. So $100->$20 is a 500% reduction. For $600->$10 this would need to be 6000%.
Really, it is just one more 0 than he can mentally handle in his absurd math.

That particular data center has also been in the news for the past week because Elmo’s folks recently announced that they are abandoning their pledge to recycle coolant water, and instead just draw the large amount of water they need from the local aquifer.
