Something for Democrats to keep in mind when figuring out what to do in response to Trump: Many Clinton era professional consultants have suggested that they should shift right and try to occupy the center. I think that that’s not a good idea and think instead that they should have a clear message. For a comparison, in the UK, Labour has shifted hard right after winning the 2024 election. It hasn’t done good things for Starmer’s popularity:

I haven’t had a chance to fully form an opinion on this. It’s quite possible that this is a reasonable decision (particularly given the unanimous ruling), but the past few years have fueled cynicism, so… 
Not only was it unanimous, but KBJ wrote the decision. My recollection of the case from oral arguments was that the plaintiff had a very clear case and should win.

With the military deployed to guard against “insurrection” in California (and maybe Texas?), I wonder if it’s such a good idea for the federal government to be promoting folks who fought for secession.

The biggest reaction to his speech was probably the part about

And, immigration is still at the top of the news. This is one topic where Trump has been consistent.
In some ways, it seems that we’ve always had Trump. In others, I think “has it really been 10 years?”

And seriously, how does Cuomo still have financial supporters? Says a lot about the Democratic party that much of it is rallying around him.
According to a report I saw, over 8MM is from Bloomberg, so about a third of the green would be from one guy.
