Swinging for some green compliments?
Here since most fact checking is political, and I certainly found it funny. OTOH, some politicians might only be able to use block letters, with crayons.

Got a problem in NY-10?
Just give it a Viagra and things will straighten out!
[tan]in what circumstances do taxes pay for viagra?[/tan] (but if it is indeed against God’s will, then the religious right should want to ban it regardless of who is paying)
Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, VA, private insurance for government employees (federal, state, local, school district).
I think if you add all of that up you’re looking at close to half the population’s health insurance paid for by tax dollars. And weighted by folks who use Viagra/Cialis or similar… probably more. I’m assuming a disproportionate share are on Medicare.
I assume that if a physician writes an Rx for it, it’s covered by whatever Rx insurance is in place.
It has been almost two decades now since I worked pre-authorization/approval for (then) Regency BlueShield, but back then one of my “specializations” was reviewing authorizations for ed treatment. At that time, it WAS NOT just just covered by insurance if you had a doctor’s prescription. There was a short list of underlying medical conditions rhat would allow coverage. At the time, ed without an underlying physical cause was not covered. So, if it was a diagnosis of ed caused by “mental health” (anxiety, depression) or obesity without any other comorbidity, then it was an “easy denial.”
Mastriano, for whom a major campaign issue was the Big Lie, won the Republican primary for governor of PA after being endorsed by Trump. Another big campaign issue, late in the election, is that he’s extremely anti-abortion. :fingers crossed: that he gets stomped in the general election.
I saw that the democratic candidate ran ads during the republican primary saying Mastriano is just like Trump.
This will end up being a mistake.
What an idiot.
Interesting.
Ok, so assuming that’s still the case, then only a subset of those on government insurance would be getting taxpayer-funded Viagra.
I wonder what impact, if any, Obamacare had on that.
Also, it’s kind of a bullshit that it’s not (or at least wasn’t) covered for mental health, IMO. Yet another way we stigmatize mental illness and treat it as “less than” compared to physical illnesses.
ETA: no, this is not too similar to what I’ve already posted software. I deleted my post and am reposting it to be clearly in response to a particular post. ![]()
Missed a perfectly good opportunity to include “Erection Fraud.”
