Not sure if this truth is any better than tRumpsplaining something that everyone should know by now.
Amusing, but I understood that the Reflecting Pool’s core problem is at least in part that both it and its supporting infrastructure are old and in need of massive renovation or replacement.
The Glorious Loser arguably gets some credit for trying to do something about it, when (IIRC) others have not.
The Glorious Loser loses that credit (and more) for half-assing it and how he’s handled the results of that half-assery.
My understanding is the core problem is that, as a reflecting pool, they don’t want waves. They want a calm surface. That means that can’t have a lot of circulation. Without much circulation, stagnant pool’s gonna do what stagnant pools do.
Other’s have tried to do something about it. Haven’t you heard Trump’s rants about how Obama’s (and Biden’s, although Biden never had such a project because of the projected cost) attempt failed?
Just install a giant mirror.
I think it was Trump’s boasting about the superior job that was done this time that bugged most people.
That and the arrests now.
Btw, don’t they have a bunch of cameras aimed at that thing? I’d have expected them to. So there should be obvious proof of what vandalism did or did not occur.
My understanding is that they have 24/7 cameras on it but that secret ANTIFA ninjas both circumvented the camera system to bring in the algae and then sliced a 250 foot er 350 foot slash in the uncuttable surface. They are truly diabolical in the lengths they will go to make Trump look bad.
