No humor in these. Please move to the other thread.
Which, if any, of the following would have been appropriate actions after having someone observe that my previous post in this thread contained no humor?
- Edit that post to include this new meme
- Move that post and post this new meme here
- Leave that post here and post this new meme here
- Create a poll and use 42 alts to stuff the ballot box
How about “Do Better”?
This one is OK.
If any of those three made you chuckle a little, even out of nervous, “Wow, that’s true and I’m uncomfortable about it,” get your head checked for trauma.
Not to say that I don’t agree with them. they are pretty much true and are not funny at all.
A reminder of our scary times and that no one is doing what it takes to stop him and them.
No, I do not know what it will take.
On a complete unrelated note, sure great that we have that Second Amendment…
I’m going to say DTNF may not be the humor litmus test you want to rely on. But happens to be right in this case.
Humor is subjective, leave it and let people whinge imo.
Now, THAT’s subjective!
I let a lot of stuff slide in this thread, because i can see that it is an attempt at humor and fails miserably.
These three are not, in my expert opinion, even attempts.
My own inclination would be to accept a very broad interpretation of humor.
Over on a hobbyist forum, where I also spend way too much time, several years ago there was a political forum that included a cartoon thread.
When that thread got locked after one participant persisted in interpreting “cartoon” as “jpegs/pngs that OccupyDemocrats post on Facebook”…well that was the beginning of the end for that political board.
It was a very rare place where you had folks with very different opinions debating enjoyably…but after a couple of years of the same things being said over and over, and folks who tended to stabilize the threads got tired and moved on…well that board deteriorated as you might expect, and now politics are completely banned from that forum.
Shame; it was nice to discuss politics with generally smart people who have completely different perspectives from my own.
