Peer review time lengths

Companies who have formal peer review structures in place - how long does it typically take from an analysis being ready to when the peer review is expected to be ready? Obviously it varies but assuming it is an analysis that took maybe 2 weeks for someone to complete.

When I was working, the request for review could be made any time from about 3 months out to a few days before the review was due (in the consulting world). We had the cycles per year and you had to request reviews.

If it is something that is cyclical, even if it took you two weeks it could take about an hour to peer review it since the reviewer is likely familiar with the analysis. If it is a one-off then I would expect the peer review process to be more rigorous and time intensive.

So by time intensive how long does it usually take to get back something from those one-offs?

Depending on what else is going on I would expect a few days from when the peer reviewer actually gets around to it.
