Thanks for that,TA. You’re a HOFer & a gentleman. I’m still stuck in Iceland because of a freak October snowstorm. I don’t think there’s a snowplow nor shovel on the entire island.

I spoke too soon. They must rely on government workers to shovel everything and they didn’t want to pay them overtime.

Thankfully, we did as well. (Well, I don’t think they were officially “crampons”…rather, whatever Costco sells in the winter that you attach to your shoes to make winter outdoor walking a bit safer). We never made it to gullfoss waterfalls where they might have been useful, but we used them today to get to the whale museum, and, for that, they were especially useful and appreciated.
