NOLA celebrating the anniversary of Katrina with Ida

I hope and pray that NOLA makes it through hurricane Ida better than they did Katrina.

I saw articles saying they have already started mandatory evacuations in some places. I hope more people leave earlier this time. Even if it turns out to be nothing compared to Katrina, the correct thing to do is evacuate now if you are at all at risk of extensive flooding.

And now I see they have increased the expectation of force from a Cat 3 to a Cat 4 by the time it makes landfall.

I heard 150 mph winds. :pensive:
