News that makes you say WTF?!?!

Pairs well with vagina beer

Anyway. I’m gonna go out in the hallway and throw up about something else.:nauseated_face::nauseated_face:

Even though I’ve heard work stories of “someone’s toes fell”, it’s never been a food ingredient.

Iceman Beer sounds pretty cool.

local brewer has Axman beer. from the yeast found in one of their brewmaster’s beard (he left for greener pastures I believe). he was nicknamed the axman bc he looked rugged.

Could have also put this in the World Cup thread.

That kind of reminds me of the YouTube video someone made of an episode of To Catch A Predator but with a laugh track added.

Yikes. Any direct contact with a bat warrants treatment, which a lot of people are unaware of. Treatment is terribly expensive in the US, so I could kind of understand if not in a universal healthcare country.

There is a lot of wtf in that article.

Parents didnt think the bat was acting strangley? No immediate screening?

I was shocked that the dad caught it and let it go. Apparently he thought no visible scratches or bites meant it was okay. If not for hearing stories from doctors, I’d not have thought it was a big deal when I had an encounter with a bat.

No medical system can overcome unwise parents

I don’t think it’s well known that bat scratches and bites can be invisible to the naked eye. And if they were hesitant about treatment, having the bat to test would be extremely helpful. In the US, the treatment bill is around $15k.

Can’t imagine the guilt those parents will have to live with the rest of their lives.

If a bat even brushes you and you can’t trap it, get a rabies shot. Their teeth are so small you don’t even feel their bite sometimes.

Yeah, I was brushed by a flying bat and only knew to get treated was from medical worker stories (any direct contact = treatment). I’d not have thought about it otherwise.

I think we should put on a charity race to cure rabies…
