I was in TX when the Pope visited San Antonio in the late 80s. There was a pretty big furor / lots of laughter, depending on your point of view, over the unofficial Pope merchandising. The one that stood out to me was the “Let Us Spray” sprinkler that had spinning outstretched arms that sprayed water.

I went to a Catholic elementary school. There used to be an election for city taxes to support public or Catholic boards. The Ontario gubmint changed the funding rules years back so you no longer had to make that formal election.

A few provinces do this. Needless to say, other religious groups in Ontario have lobbied for the same treatment.
There are no resultant economies of scale. In the county I used to live in, there are separate buses picking up and dropping off the students at the Catholic and non-Catholic schools. 
I start complaining about Milton, and dont stop until just short of Peterborough. I’m surprised my spouse still suggests we take it.
I’m paying taxes, why should I be paying a user fee for roads. This isn’t the US. Why does a non govt entity have roads. Why does a non govt entity have access to my private info. Why can a private entity stop me from renewing my govt license. Why do we have a class based road system..
You get the idea.

My favorite were the ones who thought they knew Spanish and made a bunch of shirts with Mira la Papa on them.
That says, “You look at the Potato” . . . a (more) correct phrasing would be “Miro El Papa” . . . “I look at The Pope” . . . but what is likely intended should’ve been “Veo El Papa”

It would have been cheaper to fly to Europe to attend a Taylor Swift concert than for Vancouver and Toronto residents to buy resale tickets for her local concerts. Fortunately my daughter scored four tickets to the upcoming Vancouver concert on the initial offering. I would have sold at least one of them but I view this more objectively than her.
Yeah, resale markets are something else. A former coworker of mine has MN Vikings season tickets. The face value keeps getting expensiver and expensiver but he sells half of them and the profit on those (esp against GBPackers) pretty much pays for those that he keeps.
I determined that the cheapest way for Mini Me and me to see Taylor Swift was to go to the show in Krakow. (No, we do not live in Poland.)

I’ve heard from non-Poles that Krakow is the most beautiful city in Poland, at least. Had hoped to visit Krakow, Lviv and Minsk in 2020 but COVID derailed that.

I don’t know how her phone would accidentally get in a dumpster, but I suppose that if someone threw it in there as a joke and she went in to retrieve it and passed out?
Dunno… that’s quite a scenario. The fact that her clothes were not on her is suspect. I’m honestly not sure if I would take off my clothes while retrieving a phone from a dumpster. I could imagine thinking it would be a good idea to save the clothes from the dumpster nastiness but… still seems far fetched.
