- It’s some 6-7 years after members on the
Candidate Liaison CommitteeCAWG said “hey, if the CAS is no longer releasing exams and the nature of exam questions is changing, candidates should get an idea of where things are going so they can adequately prepare.” - It’s at least 5 years after the CAS said “hey, we’re going to provide something like this for candidates” because apparently it’s too difficult to look at the existing questions - even if they’re being retained for a test bank - and say “here’s a question that’s kind of similar, candidates can use this and we don’t have to divulge the exact exam questions we’re using.”
- Since this will use retired questions, if the nature of exam questions is changing candidates still won’t know [until they show up] and still won’t be able to prepare accordingly.
- The CAS can apparently only do this for one exam at a time, because … reasons.
- If you’re on Exam 9 and hoping for this, it’s “by the end of the summer” which means it could be as late as September 20 - which, if you can’t take that + all your regular exam prep and be 100% prepared accordingly in a month, based on historical comments that’s your fault and you need to do a better job of studying.
- If you’re on Exam 8 and hoping for this: drop dead.
