Fugazi
Fugazi is an American post-hardcore band that formed in Washington, D.C. in 1986. The band consists of guitarists and vocalists Ian MacKaye and, bassist Joe Lally, and drummer Brendan Canty. They are noted for their style-transcending music, DIY ethical stance, manner of business practice, and contempt for the music industry. (bolding mine)
Anyway (Or anyways if’n you prefer) The song was inspired by the short-lived nature of (then-lead vocalist) Ian MacKaye’s previous band [Embrace]. Wanting to ensure the longevity of his new project, he was “absolutely determined that he was not going to make the same mistakes this time around […] It’s his song about waiting for the right people and the right moment.” Waiting Room. (Thanks wiki for that last bit). Waiting Room was released in 1988. You can hear it here.

One of my favorite bands. This is possibly my favorite song and it’s off my favorite album of theirs. Interersting fact, they have only played this song live a handful of times ever.
