I had two recruiters approach me for the same role. Seems odd to me a company would engage multiple recruiters like that. Makes me wonder if one or the other is hoping to “poach” the role and just present candidates. I went with the first one who reached out (with a recruiting agency I’ve dealt with), not sure if I should keep in touch with the second at all (not for this role but for life).
“Someone has already approached me about this job. It was (name) on (date) and (time).”
Yes, keep a log. Mainly on ones you’re intetested in.
Yeah, I’m ok with next steps on this role. Wondering if it’s a bad sign for either recruiter or just normal and I shouldn’t worry about it.
It isn’t abnormal. Recruiters may or may not have an existing relationship with the employer but they also see job postings and will reach out to both the employer and candidates.
I wouldn’t worry about it as long as you are keeping track of who presents you where, as DTNF suggests.
