That was a very scary two hours.

It went smoothly. A.hiccup or two but no deal breakers.

I was wondering why I had to log back in. I thought it might have been something I said.

Same.

Like this?

Same thing with some emojis.

Looks like it’s back up (TWSS)

Looks like a lot of old posts with emojis didn’t fully make it (see threads in the Games section, such as Wordle or Betweenle, or even /gasp/ old RPS threads! :oh_noes: ).

[Note: this is an observation, not a complaint - I’m very appreciative of this forum and all the work that’s behind it! :+1:]

Odd that emojis in the new posts work, though. :person_shrugging:

Yeah, lotta screenshots didn’t make it. Is it taking time for stuff to sync up such that they’ll be back at some point, or are they gone forever, like AO?

On my browser all of our former posts show up unrendered (showing code rather than the emojis). However, if I go into one of my old posts to make a slight edit, it will render it.

Neither. Nothing is lost. We moved all the images over in one big file yesterday. Still unclear why some of them are showing and some have broken links.
Images were a problem, I mentioned above there were 43000 image files. Haven’t had time to look at what’s going on with that yet.

That’s the important part - knowing they are still there is great. Get to it when you can/want to. :+1:

The new system has regular backups that are one click restores plus we’ve implemented off site backups/archives as well.

Images should slowly be coming back over the next few hours.
