I don’t think SCOTUS members are corrupt, on either side. I think some may be misguided, but not corrupt.

I’m of the belief that the laws reflect the will of the people and the people want Trump to win, so anything can happen at this point. The guy is basically a king right now.

Our government was designed with checks and balances in mind to prevent majority rule from trampling the rights of minorities. Tyranny isn’t necessarily one person’s opinion dominating, it can be the majority’s opinion as well. The oligarchs are pushing for less regulation on their companies, while individuals are pushing for more regulation on people. It is mind boggling.

What’s interesting is how the system is trying to get rid of Trump, like your immune system is trying to get rid of a virus, but it’s unable to and the virus just gets stronger and more powerful. People have lost faith in the institutions that are supposed to honor the constitution. I honestly have no idea what’s going to happen in the next four years. Could be wild stuff.

AI is the new gold rush and the big tech firms are going to need to collect a lot of data in order to pursue their AI ambitions. This inevitably means loss of rights. Let’s see whether OpenAI will get away with what is obviously rampant copyright infringement.
