Cuz they don’t know the answer, they don’t like the answer, or they might accidentally fck up like they (mostly Trump) have dozens of times and undermine intelligence agencies by saying too much?
They can “want” it all they want.
Their response can always be “No comment.” Or is that “weak”? And the optimal action is to arrest journalists for asking questions? cuz “strong.”

However, I do recall that the judge explicitly dealt with the Pentagon claim that it could deny credentials for asking the wrong questions.

I can’t help but notice that (“Good Friday or Easter Monday at the employer’s option”) and Christmas Day are both statutory holidays in Québec, whose flag features a cross and fleur-de-lis.
(St. John the Baptist Day is also a statutory holiday, although that’s been secularized as “Fête Nationale”..)

Quebec doesn’t seem to have anything resembling a First Amendment.

The approval vote was expected, as Trump had filled the committee with seven of his own appointees after firing all its previous members last October. Current commissioners include Chamberlain Harris, a 26-year-old with no arts background who previously served as an executive assistant to the president.
The proposed D.C. arch would also be the biggest such structure in the world, dwarfing its two nearest rivals: the Monumento a la Revolución in Mexico City, which stands 220 feet high, and the Arch of Triumph in Pyongyang, North Korea (197 feet high).
