Those toilet paper lock things are so annoying but worked.
Not what we used but probably more effective with cats:
My neighbours got a new cat. Their daughter was walking outside with it in a laundry basket: it jumped out and did a bit of a face plant on the driveway!! 
I bought the pup a new bed. She likes it. However, the princess in the house appears to be staking a claim.

That cat is the alpha in the animal family. The 65lb dog takes direction from that little calico. She’s fierce! And very sweet and cuddly.
One of the kittens needs to go to the vet, in the meantime, I keep getting green snot sneezed on me 
kitten is small, his boogers are ginormous and sticky.
Sure, she’s cute and cuddly - until one of her claws is sticking outta your face!!!
Recently had to put a cat to sleep. Very difficult, I know people go through worse before and after this, just still hits me occasionally.

The fact that other people go through worse doesn’t mean your grief isn’t real. Remember the good times, and if you have trouble feeling like you’ve completed your relationship with your special friend, I recommend The Grief Recovery Handbook. It helped me with losses that aren’t generally recognized as losses by society, such as pet death, so it may help you too.

Thank you - I’m sure I’ll be fine. Just hits me now and then… her brother used to bully her for the food from her bowl when I fed her first, until I plopped his food down and then he was fine. It just hit me today that now he only sits by his food bowl and I realized he has recognized she is gone. That just hit me hard for a moment.
