March Madness 2025 (a.k.a the annual Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament)

I wouldn’t want to be @1695814 right now, having to come in against an opponent 7 games deep already. I doubt that bench you’re on is even going to get a chance to cool off.

It’s the classic question—rest or rust?

As for my opponent, are they tired or have they found their rhythm — throwing rocks like haymakers, scissors like nunchucks, paper like lawyers?

Quick Summary:
:skull_and_crossbones: :skull_and_crossbones:
:oh_noes:

As foreshadowed in the last update, there was a lot of action in the T.N.Linus Region - a lot of definitive action. We knew we had a Winner Take All Game 7 on the line, but what we didn’t know was that we’d have an epic 4-throw game between NN and AA, and AA finally prevailed. 'Twas quite the battle, but not quite enough for NN.

So how many throws did it take between skysn93 and CindyLouWho?

They were efficient - it only took one.

S skysn93

(insert dramatic pause here)

P CindyLouWho

skysn93 pulls out the win and advances!

A hearty “Well done!” to you both - you put on a fine performance! :+1: :+1:

In other news, the JFG Region took a short pause (presumably to watch the great matches in the TNLinus Region); in the EC Region we finally got an Echo sighting (phew) as well as a fierce back-and-forth match now knotted up at 2-2; and the VA Region is the source of our lone :oh_noes: match - another tight back-and-forth between soyleche and Doctor_Who, with Doctor_Who now teetering on the edge… could we lose two Whos in one day??

Stay tuned for more action, and keep those throws coming! :+1:

The scissors slipped out of my hands and pierced my foot. Don’t mind the :drop_of_blood: .

You’re injured, I understand if you want to sit this one out and let me advance.

Nice comeback. Good luck! I’ll cheer you on but if it works out that you end up playing Linus, I’ll be switching over to root for him.

Thanks for running the game, UA! Fun as always.

That’s it! I was trying to throw a rock at skysn93, but slipped on your blood and dropped a piece of paper instead. Yes. I’m sure that’s what must have happened.

Great game NN. Trusty ole rock. Nothing beats rock. I decided to go against what I may typically do and just went pure caveman in this series. When some think you’re going to zig, you have to zag. But then maybe you should zig. Nope, just put your head down and run forward full speed. Submitting:

Oh no, slow Echo is a no go also. No faux woe, but no mo’ FOMO, ya know?

… and with those poetic words, we’re now down to the Sweet Sixteen, and every who is alive is now in an active match!

Stay tuned, and keep sending in those throws! :+1:

I guess @SteveWhite is preparing to become Snow White . . . singing to birds instead of throwing rocks, running with scissors, and filing paperwork.

Thanks for the match Doctor. ‘‘Twas well fought.
