I was just coming in to say that my pleadings were ignored.
The brackets have now been filled, and we are ready to start the tournament!!
We ended up with 26 players, so first and foremost a big “Thank you!” to each of you for playing this year! I really do appreciate your help in keeping this tradition alive. 
As always, our four regions are named after last year’s Final Four, and each of those players have returned to defend their region. Since we had 26 players, that means there are 6 byes being awarded in the opening round - 1 for each of our Region titleholders (winning does have its privileges!), as well as the first two players who signed up (1695814 and JFG).
So if y’all do the math (and we know you love doing the math!) that means we have 10 active matches that are all set to begin… so let’s declare March Madness 2024 officially underway!!!

It’s going to be a shoo-shoo-in to win!!
I heard that she’s a real bitch.
And we have our first update of the tournament!! 
The good news is every matchup had at least one person submit throws, so every match has officially started. However, all but two of those matches only had one person submitting, so this update will be sprinkled with a lot of *'s (indicating that throws have been submitted, for those of you new to the tournament). That also means we should have active update at the end of the day when the other half of those matches submit throws.
As usual, my intent will be to have two updates a day - one around midday, and the other mid-to-late afternoon (which may slide into evening, depending on circumstances). In all cases, please keep submitting throws when you’re in a match and don’t have a * by your name - that helps keep things moving!

Well, I drug my feet a little bit to see if we’d get more throws, but in hindsight I probably didn’t need to that. 
Lesson learned once again.
The good news is just had our first 4-throw game! 
If they’re going to go 4 throws in Game 1, just imagine what the rest of the series is going to be like!
We’re also gotta give to the VA/IPD matchup - they’ve already got 2 games in, and being as they are currently 
ed up, methinks we could be looking at a match that goes the distance!
Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum we have the OutdoormanNowActuary region, where we weren’t able to complete a single game today. 
But that’s okay - we’re just getting started, and as soon as folks hit their stride we’ll really get moving!
