I think with so few players this year, UA? decided to go the best-of-7 route as it wouldn’t slow things down too much (as it would with a bigger bracket)
… and we’ve got one last update before Daylight Saving Time kicks in!! (I know y’all were worried about that! 
).
Quick Summary:
Before we move our clocks forward, we will be leaving two folks behind, one via the 
and one via the 
. Regarding the latter, it was an epic battle between MountainHawk and Kid_Rock, a great fast-moving match-up that went the full seven games, but alas only one can move on… congrats to Kid_Rock for completing the comeback!
We’ve still got 4 players on the verge of elimination, so Monday the 13th may not be so lucky for them…ot maybe since it’s Monday and not Friday, the luck will be reversed, and it’s their opponents who should be worried! 
Stay tuned for the next update midday Monday! 
In the meantime, rest up, both players and spectators - the intensity will be cranking up as we fill in the rest of the Sweet Sixteen next week!

Quick Summary:
Welcome to the (belated) Monday mid-day update! And it’s definitely bringing a case of the Mondays for 3 of our competitors, who started out the week by getting eliminated (hopefully the 
at the end of the week will treat you better!).
With those three eliminations, we’ve now determined 13 of the Sweet Sixteen, and each one of those matches could be one throw from being over (though don’t count those players out just yet - we’ve already seen 1 comeback from a 3-1 deficit; I’m guessing it won’t be the last one! )
Don’t look now, but two regional titleholders have started their title defense, and both came out strong! It looks like the extra prep time treated them well (at least for the first game), but now that they’re on the clock will they be quite as efficient?
We’ve also got an intriguing matchup in the SteveGrondin region, where two players who their way to victory in the opening round are now facing off against one another! Who will have their undefeated streak broken first? Stay tuned to find out!!
