I guess as soon as you switch from reverse to drive it gets confusing since that affects the direction of the gas pedal acceleration, but not the brakes. All the brakes can do is slow you down (acceleration opposite velocity). Gas pedal normally speeds you up, but in your case it slows you down first, then speeds you up once you start moving forward. Can’t be too healthy for your transmission though.
Backhand or forehand???
Tell me you haven’t taken a single accounting class without telling me you haven’t taken a single accounting class.
If you spend cash to buy something that’s a CREDIT to cash (and a debit to equipment or whatever it was that you purchased).
(Hint: Every transaction is both a debit and a credit. That’s the whole point.)
So, staying on topic: every acceleration is a deceleration the opposite way! It’s all making sense! Both Physics AND Accounting!
Oh, you’re up there
Lots of you have multiple dimensions to your entries
I cannot even fit you to a 5-dimensional vector at this point
I think it would be hilarious to force accountants to learn linear algebra to get a CPA
my sister would hate me for that
IFYP
That’s funny. We just had a young friend with CPA training at dinner the other day. She as complaining about the linear algebra prof not testing the material, but from his graduate level reaearch. I asked if she hated linear algebra, why taking it, etc, and she said she loved the material in the text, but couldn’t follow the tests because they were proof related extensions of stuff barely touched on in class. Sounded more like honors or masters level homework to me than 3xxx level tests.
Pretty sure when I have looked into the GL, when someone pays the insurance company cash for an insurance premium, we debit cash and credit premium. When we pay a claim we debit claims and credit cash.
But I didn’t take a single accounting class so I’m sure you are correct.
Yup, that is correct, on the insurance company side.
are you me? you’re me, aren’t you?
who knows?
(the Shadow…)
