Moana 2 – really liked it. Grandkids 6 & 4 fully engaged throughout.
Beautiful animation, lots of action, catchy songs, humor not cringy, a bit too much projectile secreting

Mini Me and just watched Moana so that we’ll have it in our mind for Moana II (her idea).
Hoping we can fit the sequel in next weekend.
I loved the photo exhibit (at The National Portrait Gallery ) documenting the Beatles’ 1964 USA visit so watched Beatles 64 on Disney+. Very nostalgic experience.
JFK was assassinated just a few months before The Beatles visit so the distraction at the time was most welcome for those of us devastated by his death. Will never tire of rewatching their Ed Sullivan shows but not sure a non-fan would enjoy this movie?
so many Beatles Documentaries.
still want to watch Beatles Get Back, which is very long (8 hours).
Couldn’t sleep last night - So I watched Die Hard thanks to surfing the GoA and running into DTNF’s post about it
Beatles Get Back is so much better than Beatles 64
Um, you’re welcome?
So, is it a Christmas movie or a Christmas-adjacent movie?
I haven’t seen the new one, but I don’t think anything beats “Get Back.”
The Ron Howard documentary “Eight Days a Week” about “the touring years” (62-66) was pretty good.
But, watching them make songs is a real treat. And getting into arguments. And quitting the band, etc.
At Wicked right now.
Only people in the theater.
So no pets or livestock?
Har!
A couple other people showed up.
30 minutes after showtime, the movie started. I remember one reason i hate going to the movies.
Anywho, pretty good.
2 of my daughters served LDS missions, neither has any desire to see this. While neither ever thought this situation was a realistic possibility I think both would probably be very disturbed by seeing it.
I was at BYU when this came out and they were going to show it at the on campus theater in the student union. Big advertising push as it was a premiere and most of the films that were shown were after the first run in commercial theaters. About a week or less before the showing it was abruptly canceled. When I saw it in the theater I was shocked it would have ever been considered for the on campus venue.
Lonely Planet on Netflix. Liam Hemsworth and Laura Dern. My wife’s immediate response when I described the movie to her was EWWW!
The Assassination Bureau on Netflix. Starring Oliver Reed and Dianna Rigg from 1969. I remember reading the book and not finding any humor in it. Not so in this movie. I had also seen the movie a couple times before a long time ago and it doesn’t hold up very well.
Agreed.
Watched Beatles 64 last night. It was alright. Wondering where all that film was all this time.
Also, who were the Gonzales family and why are they featured and where did their footage come from, and any comments from any of the surviving members of the Gonzales family? Maybe I missed something.
Deadpool and Wolverine. Ryan Reynold was hilarious as expected.
The Sound of Music (1965)
On Disney+
Nice restoration, and great to see in the proper ratio, uncut, and at the right speed.
I’m around 2/3 of the way through Dune part 2 and have no idea what’s going on
That’s just how Frank Herbert intended it!
Midway (2019) - Woody Harrelson,
and Battle of the Coral Sea (1959) - Cliff Robertson
