“The Living Daylights” a few nights ago. Honestly do not remember it, except for Dalton’s permanent smirk. I had to read the wiki. Will probably forget, though.
“Licence To Kill” last night. Will be unrememberable in a few days. '“people love drug cartel stories…!”
Then after you’ve seen that, check out this spoof short. I was watching a movie on PBS with my mom many years ago and the station played this as filler at the end. Without it being introduced, we were both like wtf for the first minute or two, then we just started laughing.
Synchronic (2019) Two NOLA paramedics get calls to people who have died gruesome and bizarre deaths after taking a designer drug. I don’t know if a spoiler helps or hurts here. I’m guessing you won’t see it if you don’t see the spoiler. It turns out the drug has time-traveling properties. Then the daughter of one of them takes the drug and disappears It’s kind of slow and dark and broody and moody, with relatively little action. The paramedics had promise when they were young but are pretty much existing as paramedics, responding to the ODs of the day. I thought it was pretty good, but I’d think it’s not for everyone. The ending is totally obvious, but, well, it’s what you expect, so I don’t think that’s much of a minus.
Saw that one a while back. Felt much the same way. Interesting premise, kinda lacking in execution.
