Listening now to Karoline Leavitt explaining why this war has been a huge success by Trump. She’s not selling me on it but I can see how many folks could swallow her hogwash.
Sadly, this Iranian debacle may not hurt his party as much in the midterms as I had hoped.
AIPAC and the rest of them will focus on the Congressional and Senate races as Trump is a lame duck anyways, and they have Rubio waiting in the wings. I doubt they will go quietly into the proverbial night. I expect lots of money to be thrown towards the usual Zionist causes.
The people in Israel who are not aligned with Bibi and the rest of the crazies do seem to understand the gravity of their predicament.
Karoline Leavitt also dismissed “misreporting” that Trump is working from the original 10-point plan put forward by Tehran. She said the 10-point plan presented in public by Iran was “literally thrown in the garbage” by Trump – despite the fact Trump said on Truth Social that the US received a 10-point proposal from Iran that is believed to be a “workable basis on which to negotiate”. Leavitt claimed Iran actually put forward a “more reasonable and entirely different and condensed plan to the president”.
Guess we won’t see Hormuz upen anytime soon. Iran has to be giddy with how much power Trump handed them.
Easily the single largest geopolitical fck ups of my lifetime. Maybe in the history of US. This isn’t much more than just walking away at the end of a long conflict with an L like in Vietnam or Afghanistan
Its going to go in the history books as the day that war changed, and a tiny little nation beat the world’s overwhelmingly largest military force. Without striking a single blow against the country itself.
I disagree - war has been this way for a long time between the IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan for 20 years and on to the drones that have leveled the playing field in Ukraine for the past 3 years. Cheap technology is now good enough that its no longer about the size of the bombs or planes, its the volume that can be deployed.
I would speculate that we had a deep understanding of all of that in the military, but Trump fired anyone that pointed this out.
We are still far from the clear on Trump deciding to level Iran with a nuke. It’s really the only thing left on the table to try and change the current outcome to a massive L. It still won’t change the outcome though.
But I would say to look to the American Civil War as a key example of a situation that really “changed” how wars are fought . . . followed closely by The Great War of 1914-1918 (not that today’s politicians have learned anything from this later situation).
This is why Bibi and the rest of the Zionists are panicking.
They have lost the US under 50s completely. Both R and D.
Without US support, they won’t be able to do stupid shit like this latest conflict (they dont have the industrial base to produce enough munitions) so their military capabilities will deflate like a balloon.
