INQA Group Launches Working Parties for Multidisciplinary Actuarial Collaboration

Hello GoActuary community,

I wanted to share an update on the International Qualified Actuaries Group (INQA Group) that some of you may remember from my previous post.

We’ve just launched Working Parties - collaborative spaces designed specifically for qualified actuaries to lead multidisciplinary projects. These Working Parties enable actuaries to:

  • Lead teams that include both actuarial and non-actuarial professionals
  • Manage tasks and track progress efficiently
  • Share documents in a secure environment
  • Organize focused discussions around specific topics

Our first Working Parties are already exploring topics like:

  1. 2026–2050 Retirement Age - As Professor AD Wilkie has pointed out, the mathematics of financing retirement have changed massively since 1910 when few reached retirement age. This group explores what would be a sustainable retirement age during 2026-2050.
  2. Social Security in an AI-Powered World - Examining how AI and robotics might impact workplace practices and social security systems, and how society can manage this transition.
  3. Empowering Actuaries - Researching how best to expand actuarial influence and leadership opportunities.

This feature represents our commitment to empowering actuaries to lead collaborative efforts that address complex, multidisciplinary challenges. It’s part of our ongoing platform evolution, with more features coming soon.

If you’re interested in learning more or joining INQA Group, please visit inqa.group or feel free to ask questions here.

What topics would you like to see actuaries collaborating on with other professionals?

Regards, Patrick Lee General Secretary, INQA Group
