I'm gonna be sick

Why? How? What next…

Goodbye Ukraine.

Goodbye Gaza.

Here I am at, Trump’s coronation.

All I hope is, it won’t kill all the institutions.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice can’t ever stopped being fooled.

Our queer friends are scared, and those who are financially capable are renewing passports and thinking about where they can go.

I’m not being alarmist and saying we’re going to be dragged out of our homes day 1.

However, all this language of “subhuman filth”, “animals, not people”, “evil and hateful”, “pedophiles and groomers”… I’m chilled by the situation and so worried for the future.

America will still exist in 4 years, but the damage done domestically and abroad will be vast.

I know people who left after Trump’s first election win.

It’s not “move to a different country because I’m throwing a fit.” It’s being prepared to flee for safety. Not at least being prepared would be foolish now.

I suspect the US is going to get way less tourists over the next four years.

And if the GOP gets a trifecta (President, Senate, Congress) I do think people should be worried, because it will be Trump at maximum unhinged.

He is already setting Elon loose as we speak. And thats only the beginning.

If he does do his tariff program, life is about to get worse for everybody. US included.

Now I get to listen to everyone at work pretend they’re moving…

Well, the good news is there won’t be 2 months of election fraud claims followed by another January 6th.

First words from my spouse this morning…I guess we aren’t going to the us anymore.

Me driving around Florida with a trans rights sticker on my truck. No thanks.

That would have been potentially uncomfortable even if Harris had won (depending on where in Florida you would have been driving).

Or will there

In less-crazy prepper circles, there’s the concept of being a “gray man”. It’s a philosophy of how to survive when living in an occupation environment, because sometimes it’s not possible / not practical to bug out. You maintain a low profile, maintain situational awareness, but also maintain some mental separation and (carefully) maintain a support system so you can survive with sanity intact.

It’s not as great as living without such a need. But it is survival.

Just something to think about.

If Harris was going to falsely accuse Trump of election fraud, of course she would have done so like 80 times already, starting months ago, repeating it endlessly without a shred of evidence. Because apparently that works. Because people are fucking idiots.

(not in a good mood today)

Ironic that this is a problem in the country of free speech and individual freedoms.

Those freedoms have been more illusory than reality.

Exactly who that statement holds true has shifted over time…and even from one election to the next…but it’s been a true statement since before this was a country.

I’d like to know your general “less-crazy prepper” advice.

I imagine, for most of us it would mostly just be up to-date-passports and enough liquidity to move ourselves and others as needed, but I don’t really know.
