I assume that the victim terrorist shouldn’t have caused the death of an innocent baby due to her murder her terrorism.
You know, is it bad that when these things happen, I wish it was an attractive young church going blonde with a history of donations to the GOP and firmly anti LGBTQ social media posts, just because it might get the attention of the MAGA manosphere long enough to be slightly sad that it happened?

today the followed up by…detaining workers at my local target. workers who had to prove they werw legal to work (i doubt target is lax in this area) getting detained while working at target. i know plenty of young people who work there or a neighboring store. this whole thing…i have no respect for the dbags at ICE or the superiors directing them

watched the video of the kid at target getting tackled and removed while he tells them he is a citizen and has his passport. like i said, I know a bunch of kids who work at target (including this very site) and this is heart breaking. some of these kids working…are the only household members who leave the house safely. or so they thought. working while brown can bring the goons to your place of work and you can be tackled by a mob and dragged into custody.
there is no amount of bad that could happen to the goon squad and their enablers that I am against.

A week or so ago I had dinner with an immigration attorney. The stupid costly churn of immigrants to meet their quotas is ignorant,expensive and wasteful. They are not reducing the number of immigrants faster than before they are simply moving them from place to place at great expense.
Making people scared is the objective of abusive assholes, they don’t really care about anything else.

Humorous article but distressing that Vance becomes POTUS if anything happens to DJT.
A large part of Trump’s power is republican congress folk and senators are afraid of invoking Trump’s wrath and getting beaten in their primaries. I don’t see Vance invoking the same fear in Trump’s absence, I see the whole house of cards falling apart and a lot of rats trying to be the first off the sinking ship.

I still think this is right, but vance is learning.
Trump has been a con man that has used money, power, and a lot of lawyers to get his way for 50 years. No one else will have a comparable experience.
I’ve had supper ever night this week with a couple of Americans. They seem undisturbed by any events this week. They mentioned all the snow in Minneapolis. And they mentioned that the president was going to clean up all the illegal immigration problem that they were bothered by.
I don’t believe this is just politicians or law enforcement. This stuff has the full support of a lot of average Americans IMO. it’s not a collection of outliers its the US..

Fundamentally, that’s why I’m so pessimistic about the future of the US.
From even before his first term, my fundamental problem with our Glorious Leader is that he’s the mascot for a lot of what I find distasteful in modern American culture.
Aggravating that is that We The People, having seen demonstrations of the kind of person he really is, put him back into office. That does not bode well for what happens after our Glorious Leader leaves office.

I think that both sides are jumping to the extreme in this whole situation.
The shooting was a tragedy. As was noted, the officer either wasn’t properly trained, wasn’t following proper procedures, or both. It should have been avoided.
However, the woman was far from innocent. She was trying to impede the officers from doing their job. When they tried to detain her, she tried to flee, instead of following the directions of the agents. That is illegal as well. Her vehicle may not have been aimed directly at the officer, but it was close enough that he felt threatened. As I said, he should not have shot, and he should absolutely face charges for not following procedures. But now all the claims that she was a “legal observer”… what absolute BS. She was trying to stop the ICE agents from doing their jobs. Ultimate case of FAFO.
I’m fully behind deporting all illegal immigrants. I don’t care how long they’ve been here, what age they came over, etc. Currently, the law states that they should be deported. Follow the laws. You don’t like it? Get the laws changed.
That said, ICE is definitely taking it too far, and they do need to be reigned in. They can’t harass someone unless there’s reasonable suspicion. Going into a Target and detaining all the workers is just wrong.
I also think that anyone who tries to stop them, either by warning workers that ICE is coming, or local politicians who try to stop them, should be arrested for interfering with federal agents.
