Yep. The constitution is only for wealthy white straight Christian males, but these days you have to also show fealty to Dear Leader to receive it’s protection.
When the President and Border Patrol are openly using racial slurs for Jews, there are swastikas in Republican Congressmens’ offices, Nazi salutes in public at right-wing rallies, leaked texts threads from Republican leadership saying “I love Hitler” and making gas chamber jokes and mocking Jews (and Black people and others), MAGA marches chanting “Jews shall not replace us”, and yet, too many still believe “Democrats hate all Jews”…
I don’t know what to do anymore.
Some of that is part of the public record, which cannot be trusted.
FoxNews, OTOH…
Not the smartest way for the San Jose Sharks to celebrate its Hispanic fan base.
Hegseth is correct that we are a nation of fatties. I’m not sure that he needed to fly all the generals in the world over to share that brilliant insight though.
I would imagine the struggle is the 1.5 miles (2.55km) in 14 minutes.
Thats where most of them likely fail.
Here’s the full list. I think the situps and pushups would be extremely easy. I could probably do the run, but I would want to practice first. No idea about the sprint.
- Sit ups: 32 sit-ups in 1 minute or less
- Push Ups: 22 push-ups in 1 minute or less
- Sprint: 220-yard sprint in 47.73 seconds or less
- Run: 1.5-mile run in 14 minutes 25 seconds or less
They dropped the age limit also, so it’s presumably a lot of guys in their 40s and 50s, in addition to being fat.
The sprint is easy. The sit ups is a joke.
Having seen videos of people doing push ups, if they are required to be done with reasonable form can be an issue.
Reddit posts a lot of videos of someone outrunning ICE. The amusing part to me is not the chase itself, but the fact that the streamer has no trouble at all keeping up with the officer while holding his phone very steady.
200m (220 Yards) in 47.73s* is very, very slow.
You can pretty much jog 100m in about 20 seconds just to give you an idea of the time.
*how did they come up with that number as it seems oddly specific
That was my impression as well. Even my 75 year old body can still easily do that!
The 1.5 mile standard is also slow but that requires at least a bit of stamina to jog that distance.
They are not worried about their suspects outrunning them because they carry guns as an equalizer.
it is not very very slow. that said, for a sprint, it also is not fast. not everyone can run 6:20 mile pace for 200m. but it isn’t super hard for people in some level of shape and those who volunteer for a job with a physical fitness test incoming…should preselect and have it easy.
Yeah, I read that the average (all ages?) is between 15 and 20 seconds for a 100m. I was a slower than average sprinter at high school and I did about 14 seconds. Definitely a couple of seconds slower than that now in my 50s. However, I could maintain that slower speed for longer, so I don’t imagine my time for 200m is much more than double that of 100m.
If I had a bung knee, ankle or hip, as quite a few guys in their 50s do, I think 47 seconds for 200m would be difficult.
