I’m entirely confused what you mean. They’re creating fear and confusion at colleges and making foreigners afraid that America will throw them into torture camps for legally coming here to study. Colleges will get fewer top-tier applicants and less money. They’re also wasting the colleges’ time via confusion by not telling anybody who is suddenly here illegally, while ensuring they can disappear people who speak in a way the Trump admin doesn’t like. That all seems exactly on plan.

I think any education, especially post-secondary, is under attack. Harming a college is a win and making foreigners scared of the US is a win.
I’m sure that UC Berkeley for example will be more targeted than most and places like Liberty University or Hillsdale might only be impacted by broad, sweeping changes, but no college should consider themselves safe from ICE disappearings.
That woman is shamelessly promoting herself to try to get into the administrations good graces (probably for career advancement).
Its depressing to see that so many people will debase themselves to this extent.

I’m sure this will go flawlessly and we won’t accidentally cut off payments to elderly people who are unequipped to navigate the ridiculous red tape this will involve.

“We need to get better at treating this like a business,” the acting Ice director, Todd Lyons, said. He said that he wanted to see a deportation process “like [Amazon] Prime, but with human beings”. His comments were first reported by the Arizona Mirror.
Speakers at the expo praised Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelans, the 1798 law that was last used during the second world war to intern Japanese Americans. Noem promised to expand on its use to more efficiently deport immigrants. Lyons also called the act “amazing”.
Still waiting on the foreign country that we are at war with for use of the act, am not impressed by applying it to a gang with unclear membership and high false positive identification rates.
I gotta say. Amazon prime does a great business. Good pricing, clear honest product descriptions, arrives at the right destination, in a reasonable time, without damaging the package, sends you a picture, always sends the correct product, has good customer service, makes for easy returns at full refund, useful customer reviews, fraud management… It would be great if ICE was any of those things.
After reading the headline, it honest to god took me a minute to realize he wasn’t demanding a more just and humane system.
