I am going to buy this (these) today and reasons why

We are buying a steam sauna from Costco. Christmas gift to each other.

Nice! My brother & sister-in-law have … if not that exact one, one that is very similar (from Costco). SIL loves it and uses it all the time. Brother uses it less often, but some.

I’m not sure where I’d put one. It’d be nice though!

The builder of the new PC sent me a picture of the new toy undergoing QC and burn-in.

I opened up the picture on the impaired machine…and it crashed while opening.

I think I’ve grabbed everything I need from the old one…I need to double-check the backups… but assuming that’s true, I might just let the old machine rest in peace (rather than arguing with it to get it to boot) and make do with phone and travel laptop until I get back from the ordeal/drama of visiting the in-laws.

EDIT: Looks like I’m missing one day’s worth of Outlook archiving. How obsessive/compulsive do I want to be…

EDIT2: Crap. I just realized that my ability to switch between “normal office lighting” and “lighting for best appareance on Teams” relies on the sick computer. Oh well; first world problems. (I wonder if I can do something about that. Surely the key light has an IFTTT integration someplace…)

We will figure that out in 3-4 weeks, plus whatever time to get an electrician out to hardwire it for us.

Wow. No one can fuck it up like AT&T.

I was supposed to get the phones either Tuesday or Wednesday. …nothing…

You would think if there’s a problem they would inform me, right?

Spoiler alert: nope

I hop on their app to chat with Eduardo. He told me something along the lines of “we couldn’t process your order. Start over…but I’d be more than happy to help you out.”

A half hour later he’s trying to sign me up for some stupid plan that I had no interest in, has no fucking clue what my original order was, and needs me to make all the same damn decisions I pored over three days ago.

Forget it. If it’s this difficult to become your customer, there’s no way you’ll meet my expectations when I actually am your customer.

AT&T, you lost this deal.

I ordered a custom porcelain address sign for the new porch. Dark blue with white letters, it looks like an antique French street sign. I know this because I own an antique French street sign.

Decided to not wait for Christmas and we made them together this morning (as that’s the fun of legos anyway), and they turned out nice. Going to buy a smaller clear vase and put them in there with a bunch of small blue legos to stabilize (cuz, water).

My husband wants to do another Lego set, but challenging, so we bought this one:

Inspired, but cheap, so I bought a 1000 piece Starry Night puzzle on Amazon for $12. It can go in a spare frame when it’s done.
