No pardon, he’s just not at the jail anymore. The fact that he did things that Trump likes can’t possibly be related.

Not the most recent one, I was just looking back at the start of this thread. When we were debating who was worse, Trump, HRC, or Joe Biden for his offspring.
I wonder how much Trump makes per pardon or is there some sort of sliding scale?

If we manage to steer the country back toward democracy, the pardon power needs revision.
It’s apparently a-okay to quid pro quo pardons for crimes.
Slightly different take. First, I highly doubt DJT has any idea who these pardoned people are. Just not mentally able to read up on them and make the call. Which implies he is signing stuff placed before him by others.
Second, those other people are intent on preserving the narrative that conservatives have been abused and discriminated against since forever. They are the victims. It’s Trumps core message. It brings the various segments of MAGA. This attitude goes the distance from Appalachia all the up to nd including SCOTUS.
It’s a smart political play. Grievance is the binding force.

I fully agree, FWIW. Trump openly admitted he didn’t know the crypto billionaire that he pardoned. I doubt he made the decision on Santos. Some could have been his idea, but he seems to be more managed by the month recently.
I still see a clear line through these of “do pro-MAGA crimes, and MAGA will have your back”. It can also be spun as “fighting Deep State lawfare” to appease the base, but the end result is that a crime beneficial to MAGA was committed, MAGA is making sure the criminal is treated as well as they think is politically worthwhile right now.
Recall how Ghislaine Maxwell saw Trump do absolutely nothing suspicious, is now in a low-security prison, and now Maxwell is petitioning Trump for a commutation? She sees the game.
How do we think this was Hunter’s fault?
P.S. Another 3 weeks of the Trump administration having a heavy hand in the DoJ and FBI, and not a peep on the Joe/Hunter Biden Yakuza investigations. Smoking guns and mountains of evidence when?
I find it amazing how upset Republicans got about Hunter Biden but apparently don’t have a peep to say about everything Eric, Don. Jr., Ivanka, Barron and Jared Kushner are doing that seems similar to or more blatant than what Biden was doing.
I’m not too surprised that Republicans have done that given they are hypocrites about most things.
The “libertarians” that screamed about Hunter Biden that have gone silent - they are the ones that lose all credibility.

I remember discussing economics with many Libertarians back in the days Zerohedge was trendy.
It was evident to me at the time that very few of them believed in what they were spouting (they mostly deployed their libertarian “logic” to justify crappy behavior). Doesn’t surprise me one iota that they are largely going quiet now.
Off topic, some of the earlier ZH content was actually interesting. A lot of doomer articles but at least the articles (generally) had a thesis. Then it went really sideways, maybe like 2005-2007? I haven’t visited in over a decade and I don’t even know if it’s still a going concern.
