All 4 fuzz-faces have now been vetted. My (least?) favorite part was when the vet got all positive about my fat cat finally losing weight. I had to wait for him to shut up after a few minutes to be like - about that - I did not do anything to enforce any such weight loss on said cat, so… not as good of news, huh?

We have 3 cats now (used to have 6, but 1 passed away due to long-standing health issues, and 2 passed away due to a Vet error with medication)
A small stray just strolled into our house and our little one is enamored by it. Wants to keep it but I explained to her that we need to make sure its not someone elses cat that simply got lost.
So now its a trip to the Vet to check if it has a micro-chip + put up posters around the neighbourhood to check if the cat is local.

We didn’t end up adopting a new cat as the cat had a chip (was owned by an older person a few streets away that let the cat roam around. Was a very friendly cat so we figured it had an owner)

We have four cats. We’ve had three before. Three was a good number. Four is too many, even though they get along well with each other.

I have owned multiple cats, and for my crew I think most were happiest as single cats. Our current old lady certainly is.

Looks more like manual version of Tetris.
By the time they got the last one, Lucy was all, “Don’t get arrested, graduate high school.”
It’s actually a prototype for a mechanical puzzle that’s an implementation of slitherlink. But I’ve had two cats who liked jigsaw puzzles. That’s one of them. The other, sadly, has passed away.
I also had a cat who understood that she wasn’t supposed to move the jigsaw pieces, and would sit quietly and keep me company, sprawled out on the table just beyond where the pieces were.

We’ve had cats, never more that 2 at a time. I don’t know if we will have any more as Bunny my daughter’s cat left such an awesome legacy that She doesn’t want another cat. My daughter has MSCFS and is mentally too much like her father. In the darkest/hardest times Bubny was the support that got her thru. The cats we’ve had have amazed me From a masterful killing machine to Enthusiastic idiot to a stressed out teenager. It is always an adventure with a cat personality.

Funny, nobody ever asks this question about dogs.
We had three dogs at one point and I definitely felt that it was too many dogs. Two were weims though, big dogs.
Four cats is less than three dogs imo. I haven’t had more than four cats and probably now wouldn’t do more than two. We have one dog and one cat atm and hope to eventually become a no-pets house.
The neighbors 3 houses down, but within hearing, have somewhere in the area of 5-15 dogs. Hard to know how many it is this year, because it changes and they’re a-holes that we don’t talk to, but we see them in the backyard, sometimes barking all day.
The nearest neighbor to them who have two babies changed their WiFi network to “BARK BARK BARK BARK AHHHHHHHHH”
Cats are a lot less work than dogs, the effort to care for 1 cat vs 4 is minimal, other than the fur factor. Ignoring costs of course.
My ex has 3 cats and 2 dogs. That’s way too much combined. Based on how much fur the kids bring with them, it must be a mess over there. Mostly not my problem, of course.
I despise people who own dogs and think it is acceptable to leave them out unattended when they bark at everything that goes by.

I’m sure! I don’t have any dogs. I like to be left alone some of the time.
