This varies regionally. It’s uncommon in the Northeast, but extremely common in the Midwest, last I looked.
Midwest here. Of my three employers, one required a drug test. Another requires them now, but didn’t then. Shrug. Doesn’t bother me.
I’ve had one drug test for a job, all others never needed one. HR is voluntarily asking for Covid vaccination status at current job right now. I took a picture of my card for submission. They rejected it because only the first row had “Pfizer” written on it with the lot number while the second row only had the lot number and didn’t also say “Pfizer”. I’m not going to write on my card to resubmit for something dumb like that, especially since I’m full time WFH.
That is pretty stupid.
Does your state make it easy to obtain your vaccination detail?
I know you can easily obtain it in MN.
FWIW:
Employer is still requiring you to provide vaccination information of you want to be unmasked in the office (implementing CDC guidelines in their opinion).
They are not verifying or checking anything.
People can lie if they want.
This is America, after all.
Very easy here to look up my record in the State Vaccine Registry.
It’s so weird to me the controversy over providing proof of vaccination. I awkwardly work my vaccine status into conversation. If a waitress asks for my ID, I pull out my vaccine card. I could imagine going to an event I don’t even want to go to, just because it requires showing proof of vaccination.
I know they put everyone in the state registry, not sure if I can access it or not.
I can easily fix my card if I really needed to
I can get my records from the state registry. If I mail them a notarized request for that information.
right, I did the same thing with my clean STD test for college
In NY there is an app for that
My sarcasm meter is broken, is this serious?
The part about using my vax card for ID was a joke. I’m too old to get carded.
FTFY. yw
So you are implying that masks aren’t useful at preventing the transmission of COVID?
You must be new here.
Uh oh
Back to the thread topic, I’m going on a camping trip with 10 people this weekend. Pretty certain everybody is vaccinated and the two of us will be sleeping in our own tent so no shared indoor spaces. First time I’ll be doing something like this in the past 14 months.
I went to Home Depot today, they no longer have a mask mandate and I didn’t wear one. My county is something like 55% vaxxed, feeling safer and safer.
Still planning on going to HI July 1.
I have a repair man coming by this aft. Still gonna mask up even though we’ve all been vaccinated. ![]()
