If you do it, don’t forget to consider including code to:
- Set the zoom level on all visible sheets to your preferred value
- Apply preferred “page setup” settings (although since I WFH and am not allowed to print on non-corporate printers, this is a somewhat academic thing for me)
- Transfer any desired custom styles from your default workbook/worksheet templates (e.g. I hate having to set a custom number format in every file where I want to display results in millions)
I don’t include the application of my preferred “theme” (selection of default fonts, color scheme, etc.), because that invites too many issues with files received from others, because not many people really use that feature in Office, and because that’s something that can be done with three mouse-clicks.
