Has GoA become an over 55 community?

I still don’t know who Rickson was/is. Anyone with the deets, my DMs are open.

Everyone i knew professionally who read the ao recognized me. But most people i worked with didn’t read the ao.

I don’t work directly in the actuarial dept anymore, so I’m not quite as concerned about about keeping my identity secret anymore.

Plus I don’t post “crazy” stuff anymore, I don’t think?

Yup.

The AO was founded just as I was leaving/had left the actuarial profession, so I never cared about what I posted there. I’m just here for the free frozen fish kabobs.

Whiskey, did you even tell me who that sister was who outed me at your party?

I wouldn’t really call it outing.
I already knew you were a crazy guy from the AO.

Well obviously, being that cool guy on the AO was how I got the invite in the first place.

I was recognized by a couple coworkers, but I have nothing to hide and I’m boring AF.

ew, gross.

I guess grading with me wasn’t fun enough for you.

Discord is a long conversation. You aren’t forced to talk about the conversations at the top thread and not harassed about not starting an original thread. It makes it more convenient for a live conversation.

How dare you!

I was lucky that i got my FSA while the AO existed and there was consolidated exam support group. Now im around for random advice about homes, the occasional games, and to brag about wordle. I read more on r/actuary about the career itself, but nothing has the feel as the old AO.
