Let’s go through what’s on the list for May 18 then.
- Emergency Medical Services for Children Day. Um … OK. Guess if you’re against that, you’re probably a cold heartless bastard. [Insert your own jokes that tag off that statement.]
- National Juice Slush Day. Surely everyone has some favorite flavor, right? Not sure I’m running out to get one, but if there’s one somewhere I might not pass it up.
- National Cheese Souffle Day. Yeech. No thanks.
- National Visit Your Relatives Day. Depending on which ones we’re talking about, no thanks. Trust me, we’ll all be happier that way.
- National HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. NGL, I didn’t realize there was one. Mission Accomplished, whoever created this!
- National No Dirty Dishes Day. I think the idea here is go out to eat, don’t eat at home or do stuff that creates dirty dishes but if you have dirty dishes, then it’s … some kind of command? If you go out to eat so you don’t have dirty dishes at home, don’t you just … create dirty dishes somewhere else? I guess you could do all paper plates and disposable stuff, but … isn’t that not necessarily eco-friendly, unless it’s all bio-degradable? Are you really going to not eat so you don’t create any dirty dishes? Just seems like someone didn’t think this one all the way through.
