What? Yellow is good!
Why no grape Starburst?

Why no grape Starburst?
My favorite way to eat starburst is to eat one red one with a tootsie roll. It’s a nice combo.
Ew. Not a fan of fruit mixed with chocolate. “Fruit” with “chocolate” sounds worse.
No chocolate covered strawberries?
You and I should go chocolate fondue some time. Mebbe after Happy Hour.
I’d rather eat them separately tbh.
I am a fan of chocolate covered dried apricots. need to order me some from my favorite chocolate place. might make me less depressed to be going home sunday. hmmmmm
Starburst ranking:
Pink > Red >> Orange >>>>>>>>> Yellow
I usually just throw the yellow ones away.
WTH? I guess I should expect as such from a brownie edger.
Them’s fightin’ words.
So two of my nieces are in town, my MIL brought them up for a couple of days. Tonight I asked them if stir fry sounded good and they all said yes.
So I made a simple dish with garlic, dark soy, oyster sauce, fish sauce, chicken, veggies. Basic Thai more or less. And they loved it. After dinner one of them went into another room to call her dad and she was over the moon. ‘We had stir fry for dinner with soy sauce and something called oyster sauce and something else called fish sauce and it was AMAZING.’ She asked me if I could share a recipe, and I told her I’d do one better and buy her some good soy and fish sauce because they don’t sell it in rural Kansas where she lives.
Made my day.
ETA: went to the store this morning and got her dark soy, oyster sauce, and fish sauce. Best $11 I’ve spent in a long time. Wrote down the recipe for her. She’s jazzed.
I keep starbursts around my classroom as a reward/bribe (they are a good size/price and are safe for pretty much all alergies).
If I leave the bowl out and let them come take one, the pinks and reds don’t last long. The later classes only ever get the yellows and oranges (unless I restock from the stash in my drawer).
I also keep wint-o-green life savers and werther’s original hard carmels around. I like to give those out while they are taking bigger tests. Having something like that has always helped me focus better on tests.
I woke up from surgery and the tingling in my thumb was totally gone.
Carvel!
I think I will be able to sew on my machine sooner than I had originally thought, if I just prop it up a bit so I don’t have to bend my neck to look down. Which means filling my time over the next month or two won’t be so bad!
I won’t be able to do any quilting, as that requires using both arms to move several layers of fabric around and takes some muscle, but I can do the piecing/top work just fine, which is probably 90% of the time and effort for most quilts anyhow.
@JFG: I hit the English deli today that has the good, fudgy brownies!!! ![]()
And I got some good stuff at the Italian and Polish delis!!!

Quite possibly paywalled, but it looks like you could read a few articles free. I read it in my Apple News Feed.

tl;dr: A shelter dog in El Paso escaped from his new owner and found her way back to the shelter, 10 miles away.
