Presumably they built on the flood plain because they ran out of space on the non flood plain. 
They have plenty of space from all the cleared out rainforest, no?

The name, Deadhorse, is about as appealing as its weather. Better bet is Whitehorse in the Yukon. Nice town. Only town north of 60 I could see living in.

My father-in-law’s first cousin was an author of the 1970 Sports Illustrated piece on climate change. He became the SI Managing Editor in 1979 so was fortunate to be in charge in their glory years.

His dissertation work used Bayesian analysis according to one article I saw.
