Genetic information in underwriting and pricing

Hi. I am a casualty guy, so please excuse my ignorance, but what is the current regulatory thinking and the current insurance company thinking about using an applicant’s genetic information in underwriting and pricing?

Thank you.

In canada, its effectively illegal to use or ask for this info. Some.applications mention not.to.disclose this info.

I did some research into this when I was doing my postgraduate degree.

Its an interesting area in terms of modelling.
