As usual, one that I totally don’t get. This time it’s the one above.
This might help:

I think I laughed harder than this one might deserve as it kind of hits rather close to home!
Fortunately for me, my wife hates her mother even more than I do. (With many VERY good reasons.)
For some reason, I don’t think that wouldn’t deter my MIL too much.
FTR, Mrs. VA and I do not “hate” my MIL . . . but she has a personality that it would be very, very problematic to be living with us.
I see complaints about Social Security. People say “I’ve paid all these taxes, I didn’t get anything (or enough) out of that.”
I say, “Social Security meant that I didn’t live with my mother-in-law. Totally worth it.”
