I tend to lapse into Yiddish occasionally. One day at dinner my daughter said something, I didn’t catch and I responded with Vus (what)
My daughter asked What is Vus?
I responded with Yes
She aksed Vus means Yes?
I told her no
She then asked What is Vus?
I responded Yes

Years ago there was a JetBlue flight (back when they might have been the only ones with live TV) that couldn’t get its front landing gear down properly, it didn’t turn in the right direction. It was a much watch national news. It flew around burning off fuel, so it took a while, about half an hour in, the crew realized the passengers were watching all the commentary, and speculation. So they turned off the feed.
BTW, an amazing landing, losing speed while maintaining a wheelie, lowering the front at only the last moment.
