I had to look up the video. :older_man:

I wouldn’t have known what to look up except for the kindness of @Snikelfritz

Suppose my references are getting old now…

I actually was immediately thinking of the song, but couldn’t come up with the tie in for a while

I get it, but try cooking at lower power. 2 minutes at 70% power will yield better results than 1.5 minutes at full power. And in most cases the extra 30 seconds aren’t really a big deal.

Panasonic ‘inverter’ microwaves do really well here. They modulate power rather than just having one power level and switching off and on.

I rarely cook at 1,000W. Normally 600-800W, for the reason you describe. I’ll wait another half a minute to get it right.

Wife was utterly surprised once when I reheated fish & it came out deliciously warm & not dried out.

I like to press the same button repeatedly, so I usually do 3:33 at 30%.

And one is the loneliest.

my go-to is 80% power, for about 25% longer than I would have done it at 100% power. Results in a more even heat, and less charring about the edges, even if the time is too long.

It’s been ten seconds, I don’t have all minute!!!
