need to keep the bottle closer
But the thing is it was early, so most people were going IN⦠not so many going OUT. (They were gone by the time we left.)
So probably no one was too drunk yet. But I did see a few other people with open boxes and probably some people bought to take home.
It was just, to me, a weird place to see Girl Scouts. When I was a Girl Scout :heynow: we werenāt allowed to sell cookies at booths like they do now. We certainly werenāt hitting up the local bar scene!!!
not GS cookies, but Fig Newtons and Scotch
I can totally see those going really well together.
btw, Thin Mints with a Dry Red
Yes, I just figured this wasnāt the thread for it.
Yeah, thatās definitely a better pairing than Angry Orchard, but I didnāt feel like opening a bottle of wine, soā¦
Itās not, but⦠![]()
I gave a lot of Fs earlier and now I have no more Fs to give.
Iām currently having 28 oz of cold flat water with one āTrue Grapefruitā and one āTrue Limeā.
Mods, please change the thread title to āunny and SWā.
btw, Iāve got a couple of juicy 50% of coupons to the TrueLemon.com store that Iām allowed to share with at least two people. If youāre interested, send me a pm.
Iām glad you posted a link because Iāve never heard of those.
I sometimes add a drop of essential oil to water⦠I wonder how it compares.
I could see Angry Orchard with a Trefoil, a less sweet cookie
These are not quite as good as a real wedge of fruit, but they sure as heck last a lot longer & for my tastes theyāre good enough. Also, in a pinch, you can use one to make a tablespoon of lemon or lime juice.
Agreed; that would be a better pairing, but I didnāt buy any.
Iām really dating myself here, although I think yāall know how old I am anyway. I remember in the 80s there was a Girl Scout ācookieā that was actually a cheese cracker not unlike Cheez-Its. They were called Golden Yangles. Those would probably be good with Angry Orchard too.
Oh well.
I usually have a bottle of ReaLemon and ReaLime in the fridge. Not as good as fresh, but easier to keep on hand and good enough.
cheese and apple, absolutely
I donāt remember those. I believe some GS cookies might be are regional
They only had them for maybe two years. Like 35 years ago.
I liked them but I guess they didnāt sell well. They also had one called chocolot that was super good, but the last year they had them the packages were tiny. I think chocolate must have gotten really expensive so they shrunk the box to keep them the same price as the other cookies. Maybe people complained?
Yes. There are, I believe, two national bakeries that make girl scout cookies. Most cookies are make by both bakeries, but most years there is one kind or maybe two kinds made only by one. All girls in the same area (technically, same Girl Scout Council) sell cookies from the same bakery.
Even though both bakeries always make thin mints (for example), each uses its own recipe so the cookies are slightly different. That is true about each of the cookies that are offered by both. At times the two bakeries give different names to the two ābrandsā of essentially the same cookie.
