Heh, mostly. But between losing her and one other guy in rapid succession right before a third person died - during busy season - there is a lot of work to be done, hence the giving of many Fs today.
To replace everyone weāve lost weāve hired 1.5 people, plus two former employees are coming in nights & weekends to help. But the guy who died regularly worked hundred-hour weeks and Mean Girl was know to work long hours too, so in FTE equivalents it was kind of like losing 5 people and only getting about 2 to replace them.
That said, I genuinely like everyone in the office now, which is really nice. And if I could just flipping stop getting sick I donāt mind pulling a little more weight.
But the guy who died was a gem, so itās also hard to see his empty office.

Thanksā¦ it was so unexpected. He was all dressed for work, eating his breakfast, and collapsed. Wife called 911 and they were there so fast, but it was his time.

Last Girl Scout cookie season I met a friend at a bar and there were Girl Scouts selling cookies in the lobby (where I guess you donāt have to be 21, because these girls looked to be about 7).
The bar had helpfully posted a drink pairing for every variety of Girl Scout cookie, which was too cute to resist, so obviously I had to buy a box of Thin Mints and whatever wine they were suggesting to go with them. Something red, but I donāt remember what it was.
