Personally, I do four right triangles by making two diagonal cuts…it allows me to more easily avoid the crust and just enjoy the sandwich.

Is no one going to point out that the sandwich on the right was not cut into squares?

The rectangle has more sandwich because the knife traveled along a shorter amount of bread, generating less crumbs. Glad I could settle that, you’re welcome!
