Papa John’s was my favorite of the big chains, but i feel like all 3 have been cutting corners and reducing their toppings.
Now i mostly make pizza at home.

I’m not a pizza snob. Actually, I never really “crave” pizza at all - I’ll eat it and be fine, but I’d rather have pretty much any other option. So, if I’m buying, I’ll go for whatever is cheap: Little Caesars or Sam’s Club mostly.

Oh yeah, the best pizza we eat anymore is the one we make in our Ooni.
Won’t go to KFC. It used to be great. Last time I went it was nasty. And that was the last time I’ll go.
Won’t go to chick fil-a. I wouldn’t go because they had anti lgbtq leadership. Then I went once, and it really wasn’t any good.
And like most Canadians, I won’t go to tim Hortons. Their food is downright nasty, service consistently sucks, and their coffee is horrible. Bonus for me, there’s a mcdees right across the road and I love their coffee.
I like Papa John’s. They are right by our local pool so we probably order from there way more than needed in the summer
I’ve always been a fan of sausage, peppers, and onions on a pizza
It’s so simple, even papa John can’t shank my order
I’ve also had a few of their burger papadias, not bad
Chick-fil-A is meh. I don’t like their styrofoam cups either. Not a fan of Burger King. If I’m getting that kind of fast food I’d rather McDonald’s where I know the menu. Wendy’s is hit or miss but at least they have more variety than McD’s and BK.
The main reason I won’t go to Taco Bell is that they have that gross fountain Lipton instead of fresh brewed, and I don’t like any of their other beverage options.
The secondary reason I won’t go to Taco Bell is that it’s Taco Bell. (Besides, Jaspess makes her own crunch wraps and burritos which are far superior.)
I can get a cheesy bean and rice burrito with extra jalepeno sauce for $2. If I’m extra hungry, then I get two. It’s a great deal, and it’s very tasty.
I have to be at least a little bit bougie to maintain gut health (which has been pretty good lately, knock on wood).
TBell lost me, or 99% of me when they discontinued the meximelt. it was perfect. then you could build it still with a cheesy rollup add beef and pico. then they discontinued pico. wtf.
papa johns is terrible IMO.
wendys i’d pick for the spicy chicken until every other one had uncooked chicken bites in the middle.
Subway.
Got a fly in my sub at two separate stores over a short period, maybe was on back-to-back visits. Subway was already a disappointing, overpriced foot of cake covered in stuff, but definitely don’t like it with flies.
Most of them since they aren’t vegetarian friendly and I prefer to support local business. Of the big chains I like Chipotle and Subway the best.
I guess…Little Caesars wouldn’t be considered “fast food “
I happened upon an old post looking for something else.
Maybe that was just a reference-joke where even if I was in on the reference at the time I have most certainly forgotten it by now.
Haven’t liked most of the pizza from national chains. I consider Pizza the Hut to be tolerable but rarely eat it.
I was just thinking last night: “Who the hell goes to Little Cesar’s?”
That said, I have at least 15 pizza places w/in 5 miles of my house (maybe more). I haven’t ordered chain pizza in years.
I can’t eat a Hardee’s. Last 4 or 5 times I ate there, it wrecked my tummy. (disclosure: I haven’t eaten there in probably 30 years. And, oddly enough, Roy Rodgers sits just fine with me. unfortunately, the closest on is about an hour away in South Jersey. We sometimes hit it up when we are down there for sports or something.)
Did you hit up a Roy Rodgers on your way to the far away beach last weekend???
When’s the last time you had it? A decade or two ago they reformulated and it’s considerably better than it used to be. It’s still not great, but it’s no longer super gross.
Are you possibly talking about Domino’s? Domino’s had a very in-your-face “our pizza was terrible” campaign and reformulated it to go from IMO a fast-food-tier ranking of 3/10 to 9/10.
I don’t recall Little Caesar’s having a reformulation, but maybe if it was more like 2 decades ago I just never had it enough to notice. Across the past ~15 years it’s struck me as the same bland food. Used to be close friends with someone who worked there and ate it every day, only ceased speaking with them a few years ago so I assume I’d have heard. But haven’t had it in 3+ years from today.
