I think I found the perfect “consulting” niche where I don’t have to work extra hours and my performance doesn’t depend on me personally making sales. I’m just pre-sales support 
. And it’s in tech so maybe it pays well I have no comparison point though (and it was hard to fill out the DWS survey - I just said I work in life shrug).

Yeah, my move was lateral when I came from consulting to insurance, but I quickly started earning more and now I earn more than I think I could have hoped to earn in consulting without having to make millions a year in sales.
