Dungeon Crawler Carl

I finished book 8 within a week or so of it coming out. Has anyone else gotten swept up by the DCC craze?

I’ve been working through the books in my recent travel. It’s not a series I’m going to re-read, or even feel too bothered if I don’t complete it, but it’s a fun bit of mind-candy for a plane or hotel room.

I recently finished the first one. I did find it very entertaining, but I’m not one of the cult followers. As they become available at B&N in paperback I’ll pick them up…and hoping they’ll show up on Libby at one of my libraries soon so I can listen to them.

I did the first book on audio last year but not sure if I’ll continue. A couple other recent hires at my company are really into them, so I may have to pick up #2. Feels like one of the few books where the narrator really brings it to the next level.

The audio version is the best imo. The narrator does an awesome job, and makes the books very entertaining

Seems like it would be the type of book you could rip through in under a week on audio.

I just did that with the last of The Dresden Files…had a day to kill out-of-town waiting for a flight home and listened to 8 hours!

I’ve been reading them for a long time. Personally, all the craziness in the last two books made it hard for me to really follow and enjoy. Just started the most recent one.
