I sense that Dowsett is running out of chances. That being said, Wiggins did set the record late in his career. I wonder if Ganna can hold it together for an hour, because he is incredible over shorter distances (as long as they’re flat). Remco is still very young, but he may be more interested in becoming a GC rider.
Wondering if these record attempts are tested for PED.
You have to be part of the biological passport program in order to make the attempt at the international level. Dan Bingham who rode faster than Dowsett couldn’t get his attempt approved at the world level because he rides for a continental team and isn’t a member and the expense would have been too much for him, but he was allowed to set the British record.
I wonder how far Cancellara would have rode if he had attempted it.
