This week was madness, but I think I have put out all of the large fires. I’m trying to clear some backlog but it will be a slow day, finally. Well, I hope.

school year is over, so i don’t have to GAF because i HaVe ThE sUmMeR oFf 
although I’m teaching summer school and doing summer term with the technical college side gig while I wait patiently for my new position at a different school to start, so, what summer?

Just sat through what felt like a timeshare pitch from the SOA on grading FSA exams in the future. I can’t share any details on it, but I was not incentivized by the offer.

After a couple of hectic weeks at work, plus home projects, last night I hit the wall, didn’t do anything after 5PM. Feeling a little better today but I think all I’m doing after work is a little prep for painting tomorrow. It’ll be a pretty long weekend trying to see how many shutters I can paint.
But for now, it’s 3:30 and I’m checked out. Going for happy hour at the local fish place soon.

We closed the books on June revenue, check. My painter will finish today on the exterior of the house, he’s a good man, and thorough. But fielding multiple questions per day on top of work, plus dealing with the mason a bit, it adds a little stress. And I finished my shutters last week, a six week ordeal. I think I’ve hit the wall for this week, I have a few smaller tasks to close out but I think I’ll need to call it a day by 3:00 or so.

Took the day off without using PTO at my boss’s insistence. Making up for a lot of late nights and working on the weekends.

Did nothing today but spend many hours trying to get some IT issues fixed.
This means I have to finish some stuff over the weekend.
Cyber resilience sounds great in theory until over-doing the security starts blocking important programs by mistake.

I was giving a f for a while, but then I realized that Excel has somehow lost a tab within a workbook that I was using yesterday. I SWEAR I duplicated it to start the next product, but Excel says nope. Makes a man want to lose all hope.

Canada Day is July 1st, so Tuesday. Lots of folks taking Monday and Tuesday off.
I should probalby be going fishing. We’ll see though, got lots of stuff to do around the house, plus work.

Ottawa is a great place the be on Canada day. Everything pumping downtown.
Years ago when I lived in Ottawa, I used to take a blanket and a book, set up on the front lawn of the parliament buildings, and read for the afternoon. Not sure that’s still possible, but nobody ever bothered me. It was the biggest patch of grass near my house, so why not.
I have a feeling this whole week will have DNGAF energy.
